Who Are We?

Taylor Tuff Athletics, home of the Taylor Tuff Wildcats, is a youth basketball program based in Prince George’s County, Maryland, dedicated to developing strong, confident, and disciplined young athletes. Launched in September 2024, the Wildcats began as a team for youth who are 16 years of age and plan to expand in the near future to serve youth ages 8 to 18. Through high-level basketball training, mentorship, and character-building experiences, Taylor Tuff Athletics provides a positive and empowering environment where student-athletes grow both on and off the court. The program is committed to nurturing not only athletic excellence but also academic achievement, leadership, and resilience in the next generation of champions.

  • Founder & Head Coach

    A native of Washington DC, I established Taylor Tuff Athletics after cultivating a lifelong dedication to sports, particularly basketball. My expertise spans multiple athletic disciplines, though basketball remains my primary focus and passion.

    Recognizing that athletic development extends beyond physical training, I founded this organization to provide comprehensive developmental opportunities for youth athletes. Our program is structured to equip participants with both the technical skills and character foundation necessary for success in competitive environments.

    My coaching philosophy centers on creating equitable access to quality athletic instruction and mentorship. I am committed to removing barriers that prevent talented young athletes from pursuing their aspirations at the highest levels.

    Taylor Tuff Athletics operates on principles of discipline, perseverance, and ethical conduct. We emphasize not only athletic excellence but also academic achievement and personal growth.

  • Co-Founder

    Hello, my name is Kandy Burnett-Taylor Co-Founder of Taylor Tuff Athletics which serves youth and pre-teens of the Metropolitan Area with Sports and Life Skill opportunities. I support the Founder’s vision to assist all participants in the development of sportsmanship, being an ultimate teammate and educating leadership skills to apply in future endeavors.

    I’m a wife, mother, sister, auntie and friend who has been involved in the sports arena for decades with my son, daughter, nieces, and nephew’s athletic ventures. I participated in the roles of team manager, team mom, and assistant team mom in various athletic sports. I welcome all as family providing love and commitment under one unit no matter the differences. I believe in going above and beyond to ensure the success of the organization. My responsibility is providing an open-door policy to address any concerns. I’m a great listener; executor and I develop solutions for all involved.
